Apple's New iPhone Resulting in More Cellphone Tower Deaths?

Falls from high towers are not unheard of in this business. But for more than four months — between Dec. 5 and April 11 — the industry was fatality free. Then in April, as Wireless Estimator president Craig Lekutis notes with alarm, five workers fell to their death from mobile phone towers in the space of 12 days.

AT&T hiring temporary workers for 3G iPhone launch?

AT&T hiring temporary workers for 3G iPhone launch?
I think that at this point we don't need a prophecy to tell us that our long-awaited 3G iPhone is coming in June 2008.
The big question is: Will it launch after the announcement (if any) at the WWDC in California on June 9, 2008 or will it launch several days later than the WWDC event? Don't answer this question unless your name is Steve Jobs, because NO ONE knows the precise answer. There's only speculations at this point, which is why I blogged this article which discusses AT&T Wireless looking for temps June 19, 2008.

By the way,
I was in an AT&T Wireless Store recently and got some personal clarification on the 'No Vacation' rumor. The word that got passed down from upper-management is: 'It would be for each and every employee's Best Interest NOT to take any time off between mid-June for several weeks to follow."
The next obvious question I asked was, 'When do you find out that the 3G will come out?'.
The answer I got was that based on passed experiences, they tell their employees the night before, so that they can prepare. They usually arrive at the stores the night before.

The AT&T Sales Clerk didn't (or couldn't) volunteer any other information.

I have NEVER seen such a hype for a cell phone like this 3G iPhone in my entire LIFE!

Google to provide applications from day one of firmware 2.0 launch | iPhone Buzz
Google, the world's greatest internet 'pioneers' in R&D, has decided to launch a slew of applications as soon as the new iPhone Firmware (2.0) is released in June 2008.

As you may know, 2.0 will include the App Store, allowing iPhone users to download and install applications purchased from the App Store, similar to the iTunes Wi-Fi store.

Personally, I'm on the team for testing 2.0 and it has come a long way. Lately, it is somewhat similar yet somewhat different. It will open many doors for more business / enterprise level users.

I can't understand how they'll allow that, assuming that the 3G iPhone (2nd Generation) is rumored June 9, 2008 @ WWDC Event.

Unless, they started those rumors purposely and will surprise everyone and get the best of everyone's impulsive side by launching it earlier than anyone thinks they will!!
That would be freikin' awesome!

Smoking - Reporter's File - Taming That Overwhelming Urge to Smoke - NY Times Health
Like I'm one to talk; but anyone who thinks that smoking isn't unhealthy or dangerous to your health can be classified as a 'moron'.
Even I who unfortunately suffers with this terrible habit have come to terms over the last few years with the severity of it's risks.

The article mentions Chantix, a newer drug added to the market by Pfizer. The biggest difference with Chantix vs. the traditional Stop Smoking products is that Chantix does not provide the body with any nicotine whatsoever. The Chantix program generally starts allowing the first 7 days of usage (where the patient is taking half the strength of the rest of the program) is actually permitted to smoke.

I've heard rumors that cigarettes begin to taste worse and worse plus begin to yield less satisfaction as the patient begins days 4+.
My fault was that I forgot my Chantix at home on day 5 or 6 & just fell through since then.

It's not a miracle pill, it's a crutch that helps by blocking the brains nicotine receptors so that your body doesn't get the deficit message from the brain + won't allow any physical withdrawal.

However, the mental withdrawal is a whole other story that must be faced. That's where I keep falling. I am the type of person who's bombarded with stress every single day between work and other personal commitments and am fearful of it affecting my routine.

But hopefully you'll be seeing a post up on this blog real soon with much better news.

Life is too short to throw away; especially to the tobacco kings who are living like gods off of the world's money & lives.
